I’m Rachel Dorr, founder of The Dorr Family Life Agency, and I started this business with one mission: to protect families when life doesn’t go as planned, and to help people build a life that does. Before launching my agency, I was a teacher. Today, I’m a homeschool mom raising my boys while running a nationwide, fully remote life insurance agency.

But this business didn’t start because I had it all figured out. At the time, I was already feeling the pull for something different, something that would give me more time, more flexibility, and more control over my life. I just didn’t know what that looked like yet.

Then life changed.

A few years ago, my dad passed away unexpectedly, and it completely shifted my perspective. It made me realize just how quickly everything can change and how important it is to make sure the people we love are truly protected. Not just emotionally, but financially.

That experience shaped everything I believe about family, responsibility, and legacy, and it’s the reason I do this work today.

Since starting The Dorr Family Life Agency, I’ve personally protected nearly 600 families with life insurance. Each one represents more than a policy. It represents peace of mind, security, and a plan in place for the people who matter most.

But it didn’t stop there.

What started as a personal mission has grown into a thriving national agency of individuals who are just as passionate about helping others as they are about building something of their own. Because along the way, I realized something else: there are so many people, especially parents, former teachers, and families, who feel stuck.

Stuck in jobs that limit their time. Stuck in income that doesn’t match their effort. Stuck believing there isn’t another option.

So we built one.

Today, our agency is built on mentorship, proven systems, and real support, not just for our clients, but for every agent who joins us. We don’t believe in throwing people in and hoping they figure it out.
